Rebisco’s Multirich Foods Corporation Partners with SolX Technologies to Renew Power Contract with Aboitiz Power

Manila, November 2024 – Multirich Foods Corporation (MFC), a food manufacturing company under the Rebisco Group of Companies, has successfully renewed its Retail Electricity Supply (RES) contract with Aboitiz Power, facilitated by SolX Technologies Inc. This renewal, finalized in November 2024, highlights MFC’s ongoing commitment to cost efficiency and sustainability at its facility in Marilao, Bulacan.

MFC is known for producing some of the Philippines’ most beloved snack brands, including Choco Mucho, Superstix, Krimstix, Jumpee, and Mr. Jiggels. In line with its broader goal of adopting smarter manufacturing and promoting environmental responsibility, the company partnered with SolX Technologies to enhance its energy procurement strategy and lower electricity costs.

By utilizing SolX’s Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) solution—which encompasses energy advisory, contract negotiation, and renewable energy (RE) planning—MFC has secured a more competitive and reliable power supply arrangement with Aboitiz Power. The renewed contract is structured to meet both the operational needs of the facility and its sustainability objectives.

The initiative is led internally by Mr. Neskie Tareq T. Ng, Vice President for Operations, with significant support from Mr. Eliseo Cabiling Jr., plant manager at SPI. Their leadership has been crucial in advancing energy efficiency practices across the Canlubang site.

Matt Levin Tan, Co-Founder of SolX Technologies Inc., stated: “Even with favorable RES contracts, companies like MFC can uncover untapped savings. We helped them optimize their energy costs through data-driven analysis and smart negotiation, ensuring that every peso spent strengthens their bottom line.”

The partnership between MFC and SolX began on April 17, 2024, and will continue through April 16, 2026. In just a few months, this collaboration has already demonstrated measurable results in cost savings and improved energy performance.
