Calamba, Laguna | October 10, 2025 — The Light Industry & Science Park II (LISP II) Management Office, in partnership with SolX Technologies Inc., successfully conducted the Smart Energy Procurement & Energy Efficiency Compliance Masterclass 2025 at the LISP II Multipurpose Hall.
Spearheaded by Engr. Harold Esteves of the LISP II Management Office, the Masterclass brought together facilities engineers, energy managers, compliance officers, and general managers from various sectors within LISP II. The session aimed to equip participants with a better understanding of energy deregulation in the Philippines, compliance with Republic Act No. 11285 (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act), and strategies for improving operational efficiency and sustainability in their operations.
The program opened with welcome remarks from SolX Technologies Vice President for Energy Solutions and Product Development, Aloysius Santos, who highlighted the importance of energy efficiency and energy security in driving industry competitiveness. Drawing from nearly two decades of experience, He shared how adopting smarter energy practices can help businesses adapt to a rapidly changing energy landscape.
SolX Co-Founder and CEO, Mr. Sergius Angelo Santos, led the technical discussions on the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA) and various deregulated power options, including the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA), the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), and the Retail Aggregation Program (RAP). He also introduced PowerMatch, SolX's proprietary online energy procurement platform designed for its Energy Portfolio Management service, where top Retail Electricity Suppliers (RES) can submit their bids or lowest offers for SolX's portfolio of clients.

In the second session, Ryan Funtelar, Operations Manager for Energy Service at SolX Technologies, discussed important aspects of energy efficiency compliance. This included a refresher on RA 11285, energy audits, ESCO reporting, and the integration of Energy Management Systems (EnMS) into procurement strategies.
Participants also gained insights from case studies and client success stories that demonstrated the tangible impact of smart energy procurement and compliance-driven operations.
